Masking Plugs

Alliance Express stocks a full line of tapered masking plugs, available in both silicone and EPDM, to plug both threaded and unthreaded holes. Silicone, due to its high temperature and chemical resistance and ability to be reused, is a premium masking material. However, for a more economical product, EPDM material is available. While EPDM has a reduced heat resistance, it has a superior chemical resistance and it is also reusable. For large diameter holes, choose our hollow tapered masking plugs. These hollow masking plugs provide an economical solution for plugging large holes, and the hollow core aids compression for improved sealing. Flangeless tapered plugs are also available. These flangeless plugs protect threaded or unthreaded holes without masking the surrounding areas. The ergonomically friendly pull tab allows for easy installation and removal. New to the Alliance Express product offering are plugs with first thread protection. These plugs provide masking to the first thread of standard female threads while the ergonomic design makes them easy to remove and install. Straight pull plugs for thru holes are used by pulling the thin end through the hole, stretching the larger end through the hole, then releasing to let it compress and make a tight seal. These are used to mask both threaded and unthreaded thru holes and are available in multiple colors and materials. Tapered flexible cone plugs allow the part to plug multiple inner diameters or cap multiple outside diameters, makign them a versatile, dual function product. High temperature vinyl plugs are designed to fit multiple diameters and the flexible material allows the plug to form a snug fit. These plugs have excellent chemical resistance and are an inexpensive solution for one-time uses. The final masking plug in our range are the tapered paper plugs. These environmentally friendly plugs are a great masking solution and can be recycled.
